The steps should be followed for solving the problems related to tourism industry are:


  1. The number and capacity of domestic and international air services should be increased.

  2. There should be a good provision of transport and communication in tourism areas.

  3. Tourists should be provided with of the things necessary for the tourists in the markets, banks, and security.

  4. Provisions must be made to produce the things necessary for tourism industry in our own country.

  5. There should be the provision of simple and easy access to fulfill the requirements of tourists.

  6. Nepal should be introduced to the world through advertisement for its art, culture and natural beauty.

  7. Cultural and religious places should be well maintained and conserved.

  8. Investors should be encouraged for the development of tourism industry.

Problems in tourism industry

There is a great possibility of tourism in Nepal. But it has not been able to flourish due to many problems. Some major problems are

There are a few disadvantages of tourism. some of the communicable diseases may spread from the tourists. Because of the tourists beauty spots may get polluted. We can see many plastics bags others even in the Mount Everest. Some of the tourists can be criminal and they may commit crimes here.

We can learn their languages, culture and traditions from the tourists. They also learn many things from us. The fame and glory of our nation get widened because they convey their achievements to their friends and relatives. Our country Nepal will be known in the world. When they observe our good cultures, traditions and things, they expose them to their country.

There is a great possibility of tourism development if infrastructure for tourism is developed in Nepal. Such possibility are:

Everest, the highest peak in the world, lies in Nepal and we are proud of it. Tourist and its types

Any person who travels or visits from one place to another for pleasure, adventure, business, pilgrimage, seminars etc is known as tourist. There are two types of tourists and they are



  1. Domestic tourists: People who travel from one place to another within their own country are called domestic tourists. they mostly travel for business and pilgrimage.

  2. International tourists: The people who travel from one country to another country are known as international tourists.

The business activity connected with providing accommodation, entertainment, supplies or services to tourists is called tourism industry. It is the biggest and the fastest growing industry in the world. Tourism provides employment to 7% of the world's work force earning 6% of total GNP.
